After breakfast today Bob and Trudy took us on a tour of all the places of our beginnings. As we drove down various streets it brought back a myriad of memories. We went to see the first two homes we lived in. The palms outside our first apartment are so tall! We remember them as new plantings, not much taller than us. Just seeing all that growth is an indicator of how much time has gone by.
We drove past the places where we worked and the house where we were married. Many things have changed but most of the places were very recognizable. It is hard to believe that it is just a little less than half a century since we lived here.
After a nice lunch at a Mexican Restaurant we were joined by Bob and Trudy's son Robert, son-in-law Dan and grandson Bobby and we all went off to a Fresno State football game. There we met up with their daughter Linda and her husband Matt and their son Logan. What a fun, nice family! The game was hot - literally. We sat in the sun in 100 degree temperatures for the first half of the game and held ice cubes to keep our cool. After the sun set the evening became much more pleasant and we enjoyed a the game even though the score was very lopsided.
We returned home tired, sweaty, happy, and ready for a nice cool shower.
