We started the day with Bob and Trudy at the Fresno Christian Reformed Church. This is the first church Jim and I attended as a couple, and where Jim made profession of his faith in Christ and where our oldest son Aaron was baptized. We still recognized a few people from the days when we were members there. After the worship class we enjoyed a very good discussion in the Sunday School class. The sanctuary where we worshipped so many years ago is now being used as a coffee area, but in my minds eye I could still see the church we loved.
We said good bye to Bob and Trudy, and then returned to Don and Betty's home where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and relaxing afternoon with their daughter Stacy, son-in-law Terry, and their two children Daniel and Mia.
We left Don & Betty mid afternoon and saying good bye was not quite so hard because we knew we would be seeing them again later in the week.
We drove on to Shafter to see Stan & Nancy. All three of these couples were friends of ours when we lived in Fresno, and we are blessed to call them friends still today!
Stan and Nancy blessed us by inviting all of their children to their house this evening. What an amazing and talented family they have! Along we much laughter and conversation we were treated to a flute and trumpet concert by Ben and Wendy. It was a lovely way to end the day.
